Environmental Law

We regularly advise our clients on environmental issues that impact on many commercial transactions, particularly those involving construction, infrastructure, energy, and mining. We work with our client’s staff, and with environment advisers, in preparing environmental impact statements. We conduct audits and counsel firms on compliance. We are familiar with the environmental policies of many international financing organizations such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the Export-Import Bank of the United States.

We are able to bring this expertise to transactions involving investment, acquisition, divestment or lending, and we assist our clients in assessing and providing for risks, as well as reviewing and negotiating related representations and warranties.

Having shepherded numerous projects from inception to operation, and with many of our clients operating in businesses sensitive to environmental regulation, our advice is informed by experience and practical knowledge of how environment law issues can arise, how they can be prepared for or prevented, and how these should be resolved.
