Luisito V. Liban
Luisito V. Liban heads the firm’s Employment and Immigration Department. He specializes in labor and employment, litigation, and special projects.
Among the transactions in which Mr. Liban was involved include the acquisition of Mirant’s power plant assets in the Philippines by Crimson Power and the merger of Sanofi-Synthelabo Philippines, Inc. and Aventis Philippines.
Mr. Liban is a director in the following corporations: Newsweek Philippines, Inc., Silver Cosmo Limited, ROGO Realty Corporation, Zapper Services Pte. Ltd., Harbour Land Corporation, and Burmeister & Wain Scandinavian Contractor-Mindanao, Inc. He is also a resident agent in the Philippines for Lutheran World Relief, corporate secretary for Grolier International Finance, Inc., and chair of the Educational Foundation, Inc.
Mr. Liban has contributed to the “Employment Terms and Conditions-Asia Pacific Report” of The Philippines Investment Manual and authored the Philippine Section of Watson Wyatt’s continuing report on Employment Terms & Conditions in Asia Pacific.
He is a member of the International Bar Association. He is also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee (since 2001), Conflicts Committee and Hiring Committee.
