Rose Marie M. King-Dominguez
Rose Marie M. King-Dominguez is a member of the firm’s Special Projects, Banking, Finance & Securities (BFS), and Litigation groups, and chairs the firm’s Training Committee. Her specializations include investments, mergers and acquisitions, and telecommunications and media.
She has assisted various multinational corporates in making their local investments, and in helping integrate operations with their Philippine presence. Her experience spans a wide range of industries. She has counseled Taiheiyo Cement in its entry into the Philippine market, and Lafarge in, among others, integration of local Blue Circle assets after Blue Circle was acquired by Lafarge in 2001. She counseled JPMorgan Equity Partners in the divestment of its interest in Asian Hospital (AHI) and subsequently advising AHI in its expansion program, which included restructuring the hospital’s then existing debt and execution, in 2008, of loan agreements with The International Finance Company and DEG - Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgessellschaft mbH. In 2011, she acted for Bumrungrad Investments in the sale of its interests in AHI to Metro Pacific.
Ms. King-Dominguez acted for a subsidiary of listed Euro-Med, Café France, in the acquisition of a number of restaurant chains. She assists a number of companies in the business process sourcing area, including those in content development and the financial sector. She has expertise in key areas such as data privacy and investment incentive registration, and regularly assists clients in dealing with operating issues.
She specializes in the TMT area and has advised telecommunications, IT and media companies. She advises on investment, nationality restrictions, regulatory and other aspects of telecoms and IT laws. She also advises on advertising, media and related laws, including laws on censorship and content. She regularly counsels clients on labeling and other consumer laws.
