Jose Patricio S. Medalla is part of the Firm's Special Projects, Litigation, and Taxation departments.

Mr. Medalla has handled cases for clients including tax disputes, general commercial litigation and arbitration, such as contract disputes, contesting findings of administrative agencies and insolvency. He regularly appears before courts, administrative agencies, and authorities in representation of the Firm's clients.

Mr. Medalla has also assisted in the rendering of legal opinions for several matters such as the legal feasibility of offshore renewable energy projects, restructuring of energy generation companies, the structuring of foreign companies hoping to do business in the Philippines and the tax implications of several financial transactions.

Mr. Medalla also regularly assists in the conduct of legal due diligence for a variety of acquisitions and transactions in various industries such as medical services, transportation services, renewable energy companies, and real estate investments.

Mr. Medalla is also a faculty member of Ateneo de Manila University where he teaches the course: Law, Economics and Public Policy.
