Jon Edmarc R. Castillo

Jed is a member of the Firm’s Litigation and Arbitration Department. While Jed’s litigation practice covers commercial arbitration, and general litigation before the courts and quasi-judicial agencies, he is particularly adept at providing solutions for clients from the mining industry in connection with mining-related dispute resolution and regulatory compliance. He has served as a director or as an assistant corporate secretary of domestic mining companies, and was part of several teams involved in advising and/or defending multinationals in the wake of the recently-conducted nationwide audit of mining companies in the Philippines. Mr. Castillo had also joined a leading domestic mining corporation as its litigation, labor and permits manager, gaining invaluable insight and experience in the ins and outs of the mining industry.

He has likewise taken part in the conduct of due diligence on enterprises in connection with listings, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions, with emphasis on advising clients regarding real estate transactions, pending or threatened litigation, and corporate rehabilitation.
