Our Employment and Immigration Department guides and assists clients in all aspects of employment and labor relations. Our ability to provide comprehensive and exceptional legal service and representation in the field of labor law springs from a uniquely vast experience in a broad range of adversarial, bargaining, compliance and transactional settings, involving a wide, often complex, variety of players.

Labor issues can prove to be the most challenging in investment, acquisition and other commercial transactions, or in the regular operations of a company. We help our clients identify and prepare for those issues. We assist them in due diligence, the legal aspects of hiring such as the preparation of employment contracts, manuals and programs for employee benefits, compliance, drafting and negotiating collective bargaining agreements, and transition issues including early retirement, dismissal and retrenchment. We provide full support in the implementation of strategies, and our clients have been able to look to us to deal with problem situations effectively and sensitively.

We have experience in the mediation and arbitration aspects of labor relations, and have successfully litigated labor cases, many of which have resulted in landmark decisions.

Our human resources lawyers partner with our corporate group in advising on labor-related matters such as employee stock option plans and retirement plans. They also provide comprehensive legal services on the full array of immigration law matters.
